Artist profile: Yoshi Kitai
My first (and still favorite) venture into nonfiction, narrative video. This was a project for a single camera video production course taught by Erik Fauske. The subject of the video is Yoshi Kitai: a Portland area artist, university level art instructor at several schools including Washington State University Vancouver, and a good friend of mine.
This video was shot right before his 2009 show at Pulliam Deffenbaugh Gallery in Portland which ran from March 3rd to the 28th.
The project was a small group endeavor with partner Kaitlin Himrich shot over the course of 3 days on a single Sony DSR-250.
